What to Expect During a Procell Treatment at Exotica Skin Care

A Procell treatment at Exotica Skin Care starts with preparing the treatment area. Your esthetician will sanitize your skin with an isopropyl alcohol prep pad to ensure that the area is clean and that no foreign bacteria will be introduced to the skin during the microchanneling process.

Once your skin is prepped, a thin layer of Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum will be applied to moisturize and nourish the skin. Then, your esthetician will begin “stamping” with the Procell microchanneling device, focusing on small sections (about three fingers’ width) at a time.

The Procell microneedling device opens thousands of microchannels across the skin. It moves up and down, overlapping each pass by roughly 50–75% to ensure optimal coverage. Your esthetician will monitor the treatment area for a pink hue—similar to a mild sunburn—which indicates that your body is responding to the micro-injuries and activating its natural repair process.

If the skin doesn’t show the desired response, your esthetician may retreat the area and lightly pull on the skin to stimulate the epidermis for more effective results.

Once the entire area has been treated, your esthetician will generously reapply Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum. The serum absorbs into the freshly opened channels, penetrating deep to support collagen and elastin production for long-lasting rejuvenation.

To complete the treatment, a soothing hydration mask is applied. This mask is rich in hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and other nutrients to calm the skin and speed up recovery.
